Main Purpose of the Role: | In the role of International Account Manager, your main purpose will be to advance the sales of product within specified retail groups achieving both sales and margin targets. You will also, manage a portfolio of specified retail accounts developing and maintaining effective customer relationships to maximise product sales. |
Responsibilities and Duties of the role: | · Develop and grow the account base of Sambro in EMEA resulting in a top- and bottom line growth of the results. · Focussing on large (inter)national retail chains. · Foster and grow the relationship with current customers and develop the business in territories where we are not present. · Accountable for developing a strategic plan and delivering business performance expectations relating to volume, value and profit targets whilst balancing the strategic and operational needs of the customer. · Robust customer forecasting for input into demand planning. · To work in conjunction with all departments to leverage the cross category Sambro offering to each customer and ensuring that product launch dates are adhered too. · To work closely with our Licensing Team to deliver the relevant information to our customers and to gain the right level of information from the customers regarding the performance of our licenses. · Become the country expert to go to in terms of market-, competitive- and retail insight. · Partner with all cross functional resources including Sales support, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain & Procurement to co-design and brilliantly activate in market new launches & supply. · Prepare appropriate reports to ensure all other relevant departments are kept informed of account developments. · You will work in a team of 5 experienced sales people, being supported by a team of 4 sales support people. |
Essential Skills Knowledge and Experience: | · At least 3/4 years (international) account management experience by being responsible for retail accounts. · FMCG experience is preferable. · Understanding the dynamics of category management & retail pricing dynamics. · Having worked with product lines with multiple SKU’s. · Developed interpersonal skills to inspire, lead and refine customer and colleague relationships in order to deliver overall business and account goals. · Clear ability to motivate, lead and contribute to working within a high performing team. · A high level of numeracy, being confident with costing, pricing and financial reporting. · Strong analytical and problem solving skills in combination with a strategic helicopter view. · Excellent forward planning, organisational and time management abilities. · A self-starter with a commitment to further personal development. · Steadiness under pressure. · A Team player being clear on goals while being supportive of others. · A professional with a positive mind-set, who is accountable for their responsibilities and demonstrating pro-active behaviour. · Attention to detail. · Excellent communication skills, verbally and written in English. Dutch, German and French skills would be nice to have but not essential. · IT skills, i.e. Word, Excel, Powerpoint |
